Creator of the Original G.I. Joe Introduces New Additions to
Almighty Heroes Toy Line
|
|
(FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE) Nashville, Tenn. --When Don Levine created the
Original G.I. Joe in 1963, he revolutionized the world of boys'
toys and changed the face of the toy industry forever. With over
five billion dollars in worldwide sales, G.I. Joe remains one of
the most treasured and collectible action figures in the
world. Last year, Levine introduced a new line of action figures
called Almighty Heroes, specifically
targeted to the Christian marketplace. Continuing on the success
of the toy line, this year Almighty Heroes
is releasing new actions figures: Joshua the Warrior and Joseph,
each with their own four-color Bible storybook. In addition to the
redesigned Samson muscle suit dress-up for boys,
Almighty Heroes is introducing a
Queen Esther Dress-Up suit for girls. Another new item to
the line is a Goliath blow up bop-bag.
"Stores that partnered with us in 2007 saw stellar
sell-through," says Neil Levine, President of Almighty Heroes
Media Group, LLC and son of Don Levine. "We anticipate to
double our sales in 2009."
 Additionally, four
volumes of CD storybooks entitled Almighty Heroes
Bible Stories have been added to the brand.
Produced and created by Emmy-Award winner Stephen Johnston,
the Almighty Heroes Bible Stories will
release two more volumes in early August. Johnston is known for
his work with projects such as King James Bible CD Series, New
American Bible CD, and many other projects which have sold
nearly 14 million copies. The Almighty Heroes Bible
Stories feature children telling Old and New
Testament Bible stories with sound effects and music. The new
volumes 3 & 4 releasing in August will each feature nearly 50
minutes of stories. Plans are now in the works for an animated
DVD series, projected to be ready for release next year.
Don Levine himself is Jewish, and grew up learning the stories
of the Old Testament heroes. "The battle of Good versus Evil is
what makes these characters stand out," says Levine, who now
heads up Almighty Heroes Media Group, LLC, a company committed
to finding, creating and sharing the absolute best
family-focused resources, and bringing them into the homes of
today's modern family. The goal is to bridge the gap of
education and play by developing innovative and fun toys, music,
resources and role play merchandise for kids of all ages.
The Almighty Heroes line is distributed by Anchor Distributors
in the CBA market. Retailers interested in carrying the Almighty
Heroes line can contact Anchor Distributors 800-444-4484 or
