NEW MUSIC VIDEO BRINGS FOCUS TO A PLACE CALLED BO

(Nashville, TN) - The first music video from Brian Bates' critically-acclaimed Worlds Collide CD has just been released to video shows nationwide.  The new video is co-produced by Chip Johnson whose video of Sara Groves' song "I Saw What I Saw" went to #1 on the Gospel Music Channel. The song "You Danced" has also been serviced to AC, Soft AC and Inspirational radio formats, a follow-up to Bates' successful holiday single "Mary Christmas" which reached #15 on the R&R Soft AC charts.

"You Danced" was inspired by Bates' recent trip to Africa and his partnership with World Vision.  Bates wrote the song after visiting Bo, a southern province of Sierra Leone.  The "Mission Bo" project was birthed from Bates' desire to make a dramatic impact on a specific group of people.

"Seven of the guys in my men's group traveled with me to Bo, one of the poorest regions in the world," says Bates.  "We got to the first village, with no running water and no electricity; I'm talking the poorest of the poor.  And there are all the residents waiting outside the village to greet us with singing & dancing!  I jumped out of the van and danced with the Africans!  It was amazing. Amidst those desperate conditions, I couldn't believe they had joy.  They clearly share some secret with Heaven that I don't fully understand.  It's the very secret Paul talks about in Philippians 4:12 of having contentment in every circumstance.  That's when I got the idea for the lyrics to 'You Danced.' As much as I thought we were going to help the Africans, it turns out they are giving even more back to me, and teaching me about the true source of joy."

The "You Danced" video features actual video footage from Bates' trip to Bo.  "Mission Bo" targets 44,000 people in 100 villages to help their lives become self-sustaining, starting with the implementation of clean, safe water and the development of health clinics.  To date, over 200 children from the region have been sponsored and over $200,000 has been raised.

Worlds Collide is Bates' sophomore project and was given four out of five stars by both Christian Music Today.com and CBN Music. Bates' recent editorial entitled "Ray and Clay Are Gay: How a Christian Should Respond" was featured in several top media outlets and generated nearly 10,000 new visitors to his website.
