LARNELLE HARRIS AND CREATIVE PROMOTIONS LAUNCH THE FIRST VIRTUAL RADIO TOUR IN THE CHRISTIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY

Nashville, Tenn. – 5-time Grammy and 11-time Dove Award winner Larnelle Harris went on a first-of-its-kind "virtual" radio tour last week thanks to the handiwork of Creative Promotions, a Christian radio promotions and marketing company.

"I've had the idea for awhile," says Wendell Gafford, president of Creative Promotions.  "I just needed the right artist to try it out, and Larnelle was certainly up to the task.  He is a consummate professional."

With Inspirational radio reporters reaching over 400 markets across the country stretching from Buffalo, New York to Stockton, California, it is a difficult task to coordinate an artist’s schedule to visit each station.  So Gafford put together a "virtual" tour.  With the help of an expert camera crew,  Harris filmed personalized messages to each of the radio reporters.  The videos were then emailed to each individual reporter, with Harris talking to them directly as well as sharing his personal story behind his new radio single entitled "Look At Your Hands."

"This is definitely the first time we've been 'visited' by an artist in this way," says.Dan Kennard of Inspirational reporter WDBA Radio in DuBois, PA. "It was a unique idea, and I enjoyed it very much."

"It was a lot of fun," says Harris.  "I learned some things about all the men and ladies who work at radio that I didn't know before.  And it humbled me to think about all the hours they put in to offer Christian music to their communities.  Without radio, our songs would never be heard.  I am grateful for all the support they have shown me over the years."

"Look At Your Hands" is the 2nd radio single from Harris’ new CD, I WANT TO BE A STAR Billboard magazine called the new CD "another gem in the crown of one of Christian music’s true treasures," while The Church Music Report said the CD is "one of, if not THE best from Larnelle."  Ironically, the I WANT TO BE A STAR CD features the background vocals of one of the current American Idol finalists, Mandisa.

In his career, Harris has garnered nineteen #1 radio hits, five Grammy Awards, 11 Dove Awards (including being named Male Vocalist Of The Year three times), a Stellar Award, and a Religion In Media Award, among other honors.  He received the distinguished Silver Bell Award from the Ad Council for his song "Mighty Spirit" which was featured in the longest-running Public Service Announcement in the history of television.  Larnelle has appeared on several national tv shows and networks including  Live With Regis & Kathie Lee; At Home Live on FamilyNet; Life Today With James Robison; CNN; Music City Tonight with Crook & Chase on TNN; 700 Club; Good Morning South Africa; Billy Graham Crusades; Hour Of Power; Larnelle Christmas Special.

Creative Promotions has been in business since 1996 and is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  For further information, visit: www.CreativePromotions.net.
