AWARD-WINNING VIDEO COMPANY RELEASES NEW HD DOCUMENTARY/CONCERT PROJECT
Full-Length CD Will Accompany DVD

For Immediate Release (Nashville, TN):  Franklin Springs Media has released a new documentary and full-length, high definition concert of original music written and performed by Nathan Clark George entitled “Pull Up A Chair: The Story and the Songs with Nathan Clark George.  An accompanying CD of the live concert with three bonus studio tracks is also being released as “Pull Up A Chair: A Live Musical Conversation with Nathan Clark George.

The “Pull Up a Chair” DVD was produced and directed by Christian music veteran Ken Carpenter.  Carpenter took home the Dove Award for Long Form Video in 2007 for Amy Grant ‘s Time Again, and in 2006 for Mark Schultz’ A Night of Story and Songs.  Carpenter also recently produced and directed the latest John Tesh television special - John Tesh Alive.  He is currently producing and directing multiple episodes of a new human-interest television show hosted by author Joni Eareckson Tada.   Through his Franklin Films production company, Carpenter has produced projects for many of the leading names in Christian entertainment and ministry, including Michael W. Smith, Compassion International, Steven Curtis Chapman, The Gideons, Jeremy Camp, eHarmony, dcTalk, Integrity Publishers, Mercy Me, Big Idea Productions, Casting Crowns, and many others.

In 2005, Carpenter launched a new production company, Franklin Springs Family Media.  “Pull Up A Chair: The Story and the Songs with Nathan Clark George” is the newest DVD from Franklin Springs Family Media, which has produced fifteen other films in their first three years.

"When I first became familiar with Nathan's incredible music, I was knocked out by his musicality,” explains Carpenter.  “When I came to know the incredible story of his family life, I knew we had to make this project.  What I trust people will see in Nathan is, yes, a very talented singer/songwriter, but probably more important, I hope they enjoy the portrayal of a man who is fiercely committed to the adventure of raising a family that will advance God's Kingdom.  It's a wonderful mix of great music, the sheer fun of traveling around the country in an R.V., and the seriousness of a very purposeful family."

Nathan Clark George has been making a name for himself in the independent music community for several years and has been acknowledged by the Independent Music Awards for previous projects.  In the Christian music community, George has been named Acoustic Artist of the Year two years in a row by Indieheaven.  Best known for his ability to put music to scripture, George’s style has been compared to James Taylor and Jim Croce by some reviewers, though George himself admits to a more classical influence in his music.   “I grew up listening to classical music,” says George, “but I also like people like Shawn Colvin and Lyle Lovett.  I have an eclectic mix of influences.”

The three bonus tracks on the CD were produced by Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay) and the CD’s first single to be released this month is “What if I Were in the Garden.”  A one-hour television special has been made from the DVD and will air on the NRB Network on January 21 and 22 and SkyAngel on January 24 and 25.  Print ads and email blasts are being targeted to various media outlets including American Family Association and home schooling networks, as Nathan and his wife are avid home-schoolers.  A music video of the CD’s first single is also in the works.
