New Christmas Song Strikes Personal Note for Singer

(Nashville, TN)  Singer Sarah Schieber will release a new radio single entitled "Christmas In Heaven," written by Paul Marino and Jeremy Johnson.  Marino is also serving as producer for Schieber's new full-length CD, The Long October Road, set for release in spring 2009.

"Paul shared the song with me a few months after my husband Chad died," says Schieber.  "It became a very sweet part of my healing process.  I didn't dream that I would have the opportunity to record it this year.  I pray it will comfort those who have lost loved ones and are facing the holidays alone."

Last October, Sarah's husband, Chad, collapsed and died while they were both running in the Chicago marathon. A police officer in Midland, Michigan, Chad was only 35 and left behind Sarah with their three children.  Sarah, who had just released an independent CD at the time of Chad's death, has been sharing her story of grief, heartache and hope with people across the country.  She recently performed and spoke at a regional Mary Kay event and was the special guest for the Michigan Christian Red Hat Ladies State convention.   She has shared the stage with Wayburn Dean and Selah, among other artists.

Along with his credentials as a performer and songwriter with the group River for many years, Paul Marino has been a Lifeway songwriter since 2004, and has penned sixteen top 10 radio hits.  As one of five producers for the newly-launched LifewayWorship.com, Marino produced over 160 songs for the site, making it the largest recording project in Nashville history. Jeremy Johnson is a successful songwriter in several genres of music and has over 100 featured songs in Lifeway's various choral and print projects.

Christmas In Heaven

2008 words and music by Jeremy Johnson and Paul Marino

December hasn’t changed
This town looks the same
They still light that tree in the city square
There’s red, white, and green shining everywhere
And I wish you were here
And I wonder . . .

CHORUS:
Is the snow falling down on the streets of gold?
Are the mansions all covered in white?
Are you singing with angels Silent Night?
I wonder . . . what Christmas in Heaven is like

There’s a little manger scene
Down on Third and Main
I must have walked right by it a thousand times
But I see it now in a different light
Cause I know you are there
And I wonder . . .

Are you kneeling with shepherds before Him now?
Can you reach out and touch His face?
Are you part of that glorious holy night?
I wonder . . . .what Christmas in Heaven is like
